“If you want to go fast, go alone. If you want to go far, go together”
– African Proverb
Dirt is grounded in the clinical expertise of Deidre Steadman (Clinical Psychologist) and Rob Griffin (Senior Trauma Specialist) who together bring over 40 years of combined experience with trauma-informed metacognitive, somatic, meditative, and experiential therapies.
Deidre Steadman
Lead Facilitator
Founded Dirt Temple as a space to reclaim communitas and architect the arcane. She is a clinical psychologist, and the owner and director of Alpha Psychology. She is the author of The Revolutionary Who’s Raising You and part of the clinical team behind South Australia’s first psychedelic-assisted therapy clinic.
With a passion for transpersonal psychology and meditation that spans her 20-year career, she holds a double undergraduate degree in psychology and philosophy, a MClinPsych and certification in sensorimotor psychotherapy and psychedelic-assisted therapy.
Her work weaves metacognition, neo-paganism, embodiment and ritual. Deidre has trained with ritual artist Scout Rainer Wiley and medicine woman Natasja Pelgrom.
Deidre brings a love for all wisdom-traditions, a heart for deep relational practice, and a spirit of fun to her work.
Rob Griffin
Co-Facilitator
Rob is a senior trauma-specialist, supervisor and educator with over 16 years as a group facilitator and mentor.
His extensive trauma-informed practice equips him for impeccable ‘space holding,’ conflict resolution, skillful emotion-regulation, non-violent communication and relational mastery.
With a flare for experiential therapies borne of Rob’s 20 year career in the performing arts his therapeutic work is rooted in movement, theatre and embodiment.
Rob is a 5th Dan, Aikido Black Belt and brings a gift for navigating force, balance and power with integrity and safety. He sets a tone of grounded, quiet strength, holding to empathy and humility.
Nicholas Meyer
Modern Mystagogue

Nicholas is the Modern Mystagogue of Dirt Temple.
An interpreter between the corporate world and the deeper terrain of spiritual experience. His work guides people beyond conventional measures of success toward meaning, connection and legacy. Drawing on Ancient Greek philosophy, fine wine, hospitality and psychology, he designs experiences that blend terroir, ritual and sensory awareness into contemporary rites of passage.
A touring WSET Level 3 wine professional, Nicholas brings both refinement of palate and presence, demystifying wine and spirituality alike.
Through warmth and insight, he creates spaces where ambition softens into awareness and achievement evolves into alignment.
Simone Minett
Creative & Energetic Guide

A Barossa-based artist, Simone is the lead designer behind Dirt Temple, contributing to its aesthetic through spiritual and ritualistic touches.
A Reiki practitioner and oracle card worker, her work emerges through listening rather than force, guided by quiet occult lineages, energetic sensitivity and an intimate relationship with the unseen. She is the founder and artist behind Making Henry, a handmade jewellery practice rooted in slow craft.
She is drawn to subtle shifts and the space between things; bringing clarity, ease, and movement to her practice and her presentations at Dirt Temple.
Brenton Howe
Resident Drummer & Rope Artist

Breno is Dirt Temple’s resident drummer and rope artist.
He has been playing drums since the age of 13 and has dedicated the past five years to developing his practice in the art of shibari (conscious rope work).
He teaches with generosity and warmth, grounded in respect and rhythm.
Dan Murphy
Head Chef

Chef Daniel Murphy is a born and bred Barossan, with over 15 years-experience, having refined his craft in the kitchens of some of South Australia’s most celebrated restaurants such as Appellation, St Hugo and Eleven. Dan is currently Head Chef at FINO – cited as a top 10 restaurant by Gourmet Traveller 2023.
Dan’s passion for showcasing local produce and his philosophy – that food should focus on respect for land, respect for ingredients and respect for culture – is a perfect ingredient when added to the Dirt Temple Team.
